Help make the Green Week happen
Help make the Week happen!
The Green Week is happening because people are getting involved. Many are organising their own events. We are also keen hear from people who would like to help with running the week. We need volunteers to help at events as stewards and supporters; we also need people to help promote the week, to develop this website and to encourage more people in their areas to get engaged.
If you are planning an event, please register it here. We can send you the logo to use as part of your publicity.
If you would like to get involved in making the Week happen sign up here.
Email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you’d like to help or know more.
The ‘Talking Shop’ page will have ideas and stories about what people are planning.
Organising an event
There’s plenty of time to to organise an event for the Week where you live (or where we work, or with a group of friends). There’s advice on the national Great Big Green Week website on organising events: https://greatbiggreenweek.com/resources/
Look for the sections on ‘Organisers’ Guide’ and ‘Community Greening’
Who's already making our Green Week Happen?
The Oxfordshire Week is supported by many organisations including: Oxfordshire Association of Local Councils, BBOWT, the Green Arts Oxfordshire Network, Good Food Oxford, the Oxfordshire Community Action Groups, Oxfordshire Women’s Institute, Cyclox, the Oxford Climate Strike Network, Oxford Friends of the Earth, and Cyclox. (August 3rd update: We’ll have links to all these shortly!)
